LineListen Privacy Policy
Effective 5 October 2026. LineListen is developed by Flavio Thomi. It is a Mac utility for listening to a hardware audio input through the current macOS output.
Audio
LineListen processes audio in memory on your Mac and sends it to the output selected in macOS. It does not record audio, save audio files, upload audio to the developer, or send audio to an analytics service. The selected output may be a wired, Bluetooth, or other device supported by macOS.
Permission
macOS microphone permission is used to access the audio input you select, including USB audio devices. You can revoke access in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone. LineListen cannot monitor an input without the necessary permission.
Local settings
LineListen stores your input-device selection, requested buffer size, volume, mute setting, and keyboard shortcuts locally. These preferences restore your choices and are not sent to the developer.
Data collection
LineListen has no accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud sync, or in-app network service. The developer does not collect personal data through the app. macOS or Apple may handle system diagnostics according to your system settings and Apple's policies.
Support
If you email support@flaviothomi.com, the information you choose to include, such as your email address, message, and device details, is used to respond to your request. Support email is separate from the app. LineListen does not automatically send diagnostics or recordings with a support request.
Website
This policy describes the LineListen app. Visits to flaviothomi.com are covered by the website privacy policy.
Changes
If LineListen's data practices change, this policy and its App Store privacy information will be updated to reflect them.
